Four members of the HYADES team will begin their doctoral studies at Jagiellonian University in October. In this year’s admissions cycle, three of our colleagues were accepted into the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences in the field of astronomy, and one person will begin a doctoral program in the field of physics.
Kinga Orszulik focuses on analyzing satellite orbital dynamics, orbital transfer scenarios, estimating Δv requirements, and research related to satellite deorbiting. Her interests also include satellite geodesy, astrodynamics, and space engineering.
Szymon Ryszkowski is developing a 3D kinetic model of cometary comets as part of Monte Carlo simulations; he is also involved in popularizing astronomy and serves as a member of the Student Council under the President of the Polish Space Agency.
As part of the HYADES project, Yauheni Stsefanenka is conducting research on the distribution and emissivity of hydrogen in the interplanetary medium of the Solar System.
Kamil Wyrwich is working on a model of photodissociation and photoionization of molecules and atoms in space, and his interests also include astrobiology, astrogeology, and the development of space technologies.
